Hi,

I love your script - such a time saver.   But I've come across a problem that I can't solve:

I have a scene where a character picks up an object and then pases it from hand to hane.   If I set the object to to be attached at, say, frame 10, the render in RMS 4 is hugely motion blurred at frame 9.

I've checked the animation, and it's clean, even with "snapping" turned off in the timeline (so that I can scrub slowly between frame 9 and 10).

This is consistent.   It happens every time I attach an object, or pass it from one hand to the other.

I have no idea why it's doing this.   Any thoughts?

    Just found a work around. If I bake out the constraints, the problem disappears. The only drawback with this is that the animation is then fixed, and I can't make small changes if I decide I don't like something after the render.

    Hi, Thank you for coming back on this one. In RMS 4 they've simplified things quite a lot, and there are two check boxes (Motion Blur and Camera Blur) and some quality settings. I had both of these switched on, and motion samples set to 2, which is the default. The Shutter Angle is set at 80º and the Motion Blur Type is set to Frame (as opposed to Subframe). It's a curious thing. Incidentally, I've improved the work around to allow me to make changes to the final animation after the constraints have been baked. I just save a second copy of the file before I bake. Don't know why I didn't think of that before.
