Hi All...

I just see one bug on 2011 :
I create a IKRP solver on a chain with 6 joint. I just want the 3rd who react like an elbow, so I put all the others stifness attribut to 1.

When I bend the IK, the joints stiffnessed flics, the switch quickly from the straight line to the round curve! Its only when the IK is near from its original pos!

Some one have already heard about this? And knoz how to fix?

Yes the stiffness doesnt really work for the default iks, never probably will. They also say that in the manual last time i checked . Lock the other joints. It was added for some obsucre reason and nevre really implemented. That is unless they say it now should be working.

Nevertheless they cant delete the attribute since some custom ik solver MIGHT rely on this attribute.

Yes, I always heard that also.... but basicallt it worked before 2011!! It really worked for me. 

The same rig gives me the result I wanted before.... and it doesnt work on 2011. I can't understand why they dont try to solve it!

Basically Im a little bit angry because I based some feature on it, and now, just because of that, I have to redo a lot of stuffs. Really anoying.

So there is ni solution?? 

No demand. Thing is your shouldnt base things on things thay say may chnage. Its a no no, you dont have a explicit guarantee that its a iusse to be had. That is only those thing they promise work, will work in the future.

Thereas allways going to be things outside such poemises that may work, but teh question is how LONG WILL THEY WORK?

i also faced the same problem.
maya 2011 is totaly garbage . seriously i encountered 100+ problems in version 2011 since its release . its better to use 2009,2010 or even 2012 instead of 2011.

But then 2012 has a buggy keyframe editor! Which is more important to you?

wow! lolz thanks joojaa for sharing.. i didn't explorer 2012 a lot coz its new. but as i know 2011 is worst version in history of maya.

No its not 2008 is the worst ever maya just behind it is maya 2010 THEN you get 2011 and maya 4.0 neck on neck. Cant say anything about maya 2012, still slowly phasing out form 2009 myself, i inteded to go to 2011 but didnt want to for several stupid reasons, and 2012 isnt compelling enough yet.

But se yes 2012 is new but it allready has 2 hotfixes out. But th thing is each version that sucks is usuable theres only problems in certain areas.
