Some months ago I made my 1st rig.
Costed me many hours but it worked great.
Today I picked up the project again and discovered I made a mistake.

I placed the arm ikHandle from collar to wrist instead of from the shoulder.
Is there a way to correct this without messing up things?
And of course without doing that rigpart again.

Thanks for help.

Well beasically your question is unaswerable. What your asking is: "is i screwed up is there a easy way out?". Well probably just that your not inputting any valuable information on what if anything is dependent on the problem.

did you just try deleting the handle and create it anew? If  your a bit more adveturous you might just want to open the hypergaph and reconnect the connections tough.

save your file as whatever_OLD thetway whatever. Now you have a mess free point to geo back. Dont be afraid to experiment.

Err... well many hours is relative. Anything less then a man month of work then i suggest do form scratch, youd be supprised how much faster stuff gets done the second time around when you actually allready know what your doing (usually it cuts the time by a factor of 5-10)

If you always intend to build on top of your early mistakes some day you may find theres no return ticket. As a general rule of thumb you allways do everything atleats 2 times over. First you make the conceptual first release, once thet works you throw it way or use it as a test target for the second time around when you fix all the things you did wrong the first time around.

Thanks Joojaa for this very constructive answer.
I am to unexperienced in rigging to provide enough relevant info in my post.
And I am very adventurous, pushing all those buttons brought me surprising reults. Not always good and many times more messy. But hey doing nothing is boring.

Your point is clear.

Back to the drawing board.

I managed to connect it to the shoulder with the connection editor.
Also learned me to use the connection editor.
Works great and my "problem" is solved now.

Thanks for support.
