Hi everyone, Ive been doing maya for about 2 years now and im starting a new project for my showreel. The screenshot is of the creature I am creating.

Im placing him into a real scarpyard environment and then tracking him into it the bottom of him is going to be incased in surrounding junk. My question is does anyone have any suggestions on the best way the RIG this character. The movements are going to be realativly simple such as:
Shaking e.g like a dog does when hes wet
reacting to an object been thrown
turning left and right
getting up from a lying down position

I have some experience with rigging but would like some suggestions

Thanks in advance

If you have much experience in rigging manual quadruped than do it simple IK/FK quadruped rig if you don't have any idea about quadruped rigging than use TSM (the setup machine) its auto rig. I rigged most complex dragon, dog, cat rigs with it... But if you want some more features than add manually.
