No output from exporter

Hi,thanks for making this exporter. Its exactly what Im after.

Sadly I cant get it to work. Dont know if its a bug or if Im doing something wrong.

When I press "ExportIt!" the only reaction I get is the Script Editor saying: "pPlane3pPlaneShape3polySurfaceShape1pPlaneShape3OrigNurbsProof"

Can someone tell me whats happening?

Best regards,
Martin

I'm having the same issue too, using maya 2010 64bit, is it not compatible with this environment? Thanks.

Select the mel script, paste into script editor, select all and save script to self. Then select your object and hit your newly created mel button. The Error: No Object matches name: nurbsPerparedForExport* is nothing to worry about.

did anyone solve this problem yet? Tried all the above solutions, nothing worked either I get the "NurbsProof" command line result, or Error: No Object matches name: nurbsPerparedForExport*

I've got it! The timeslider needs to start at 0 for some reason...and yes I still had to select the shape in order for it to work. So any baked animation will need to be offset to match 0, it is a hassle since then I have to rename the filename to match its original frame number. All and all it still worked sorta....

Hi I am trying to use this script and I can't make it works properly. I need an obj animated sequence to import in AE for using with Element 3d plugin. Basically after baking my 20 frames simple cube rotation, I use the script to export the obj sequence. Sequence done, but every frame is the same, no animation at all. Anyone with the same issue? Any idea how to solve it?

just find out it works well with Maya 2011, but still not working with 2012 and guess also with 2013 as well. Anyone knows if there is an updated version. I keep trying with other similar plugins, but I have always the same problem. Thanks

Okay so I figured how to get rid of the nurbsProof Error. You dont have to have your timeline start at 0 and you dont have to bake the animation. If you simply have one or more animated objects, make sure your objects all grouped. To control how many frames you want to export, simply go to the render setting and edit the frame range. The nurbsProof Error came upon me when i was trying to export a 48frame animation using blendshapes and deformers. Once I grouped my objects, i was able to export it to Element 3d. If any one has any questions or have issues exporting Maya OBJ sequence to Element 3D let me know. email is: setthestage18@yahoo.com
