Problem with rig

Hi, I have noticed that in your representative image of your character that its joins are all in tack with the rest of the body, however when i use the rig the legs, arms and body all break apart....I was wondering if theres is something I can do to fix it? And as for the body,face and face poses menus are all empty, when i was expecting them to be as imaged in your reference to the rig (i.e. tools image). I am a uni student just making a 1 minute animation, and i would love to use this rig as i love the look of ti :)! But yes....is there anything i can do to amend this?
