Q/A

Building rig stalls and stops

Hi, I've been having an issue, i clemens. When I create my characters rig with your auto rigger, either the joints skyrocket to the a position really far down (at least 200 units, I think my scene is set to Centimeters)...

That's when I just leave the rig as is...

When I modify it, moving the joints around, the menu displays that it is "Building the rig..." and stops at 79%. It then displays this error:

// Warning: Name 'icQR_QRspineJoint' of new attribute clashes with an existing attribute of node 'spineStart_jnt1Cat'. //

// Error: Found no valid items to add the attribute to. //

// Error: setAttr: No object matches name: head_worldSpace_grpCat.tx //

I haven't changed anything aside from positions. Any reply would be wonderful. Thanks! :)

Well, hard to tell from the distance. There have been issues in the pasrt for some reason related to very small, tiny characters. Usually setting the scene to centimeters (default) should be fine. Errors like this can occur if you build a rig, tehn delete everything by hand and start building a new one. Always start with a fresh scene when setting up a rig. The 'skyrocketing' of the joints I have never seen. Can you provide me with a sample scene so I can have a look?
