I have problems with setting it up inside Maya. Would someone be kind enough to give me short, step-by-step installation process? I've used this script before and it's amazing, but I don't know how to set it up at home! Please, could someone help?
For those who have similar problems, do the following:
1. Copy the script into your "script" map. It should be in C:/(User)/Documents/maya/(year)/scripts. 2. Re-start Maya (if it was running), and open Script Editor. Type in MEL window "Quick_rename_tool" (without ") and R-click it to execute it. If the window pops out, it's working.
3. To add it to your shelf, go to Shelf Editor, create a new Shelf icon in the right column and name it however you wish.
4. Select it, and go to "Command" tab. Delete the text and write "Quick_rename_tool" (without "), then save it.
