Works fine on maya 2016, but using this file on Maya 2014 the head is detached / doesn't move with the body. How do I fix this / How do I join the head with the rest of the body? -

Great rig to practice body mechanics with and not worry about the face. Here is a quick animation I did with it: https://vimeo.com/49850635 -

Between the ones I've been trying today this one looks like the best for me. I am a beginner, never tried to animate in 3D (quite frankly not even in 2D). I hope to come out with something nice soon :) Thanks for the rig! -

Hi, It's a good rig for practicing basics. It will be even better if u can correct the stretchy spine, it's kinda giving weird shapes. I hope you understand that. And, also on the arms add some translation to move and stretch the arms as in fk mode we can't use the stretchy feature. Also try to improve the stretchy head. These improvements would make this rig with full 'Stretch And Squash' compatibility. It looks like a cartoony rig so it should have these features. There may be few other improvements or added features which I might haven't mentioned. Thanks and Best Regards, Avijit Dey -

Hi, thank you very much for that. The rig is very good, sensitive, and really good loking. I think always is good to use model that you like and who actually have good appearance, than to work with ordinary one. This way the half of the work is done - you have life much easier! Thanks again, Best regards, Nasko! -

Edit: I fixed it myself. :) -

@OneSharpMarble: Oh thats too bad. I actually made this character for my Animation students. Making it a Manual-Labor intensive rig was one of the ideas, this meant the students would learn more about Timing Spacing and Posing then to rely on automatic controls and become sloppy. If you are looking for a more automation oriented rig then I'm sure you can find plenty on this site.
