Please DO NOT use this rig for lip-synch animations. The controls are too limited - teeth and lips have no controls at all - making fine-tuning nearly impossible.
The rig is nice.... but how to switch the body controls (inbetween controls from pelvis to chest) to FK ? only translation is working but not the rotation controls..... It seems to be spline IK...
Is anyone having any luck opening this rig in Maya 2008? I can open it, but the arms are all messed up - controllers seem to be zeroed out to the origin.
I did the edit-the-ma file text trick as well... no luck.

Not as good as it looks...disturbing, unorganized and not a very appealing rig.

I've used almost every rig on this site and this is one of the best. The controls are intuitive, the rigging is complete, and there is little that cannot be done with him.
This rig is a great character with lots of personality possible due to great design. However, I find that having his neck so thick makes things a little difficult to animate at times since you can end up with clipping of the bottom jaw going through the neck. Also, when installing the character, the character was not set up to recieve lighting to begin with and took some time to go through the outliner looking for the geometry to turn the render options back on. Not too big of a deal, but a nuissance none the less.
