If I install 2012 version under 2013 setup, load up the plugin (actually it really loads under 2013!!) and execute the mython command import fs fs.main() All I get is the following error : # Error: ImportError: file D:\LOOKSOON\workspace\FireSystem\Release\2012_win64\scripts\fs.py line 3: No module named shiboken even if I have set a module totally different than the above. Mine is as follows: + FireSystem 0.7.1 C:\Users\ME\Documents\maya\MYDefaults\plug-ins2013\FireSystem Is this a bug or something I may do to finally get your nice script working? I am looking forward to receiving your reply. Best Regards, Tri

You should install PySide by yourself, and download from here: https://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_82cbe7880101hchi.html then copy the two dll files to Maya bin folder.

Having installed pySide (from PySide import QtGui provides no error), copied the 2 dlls into maya/bin, installed fireSystem correctly and loaded the py module from plugins within maya succesfully, if I execute the following command in maya 2013: import fs fs.main() I still get the following error¨ # Error: ImportError: file D:\LOOKSOON\workspace\FireSystem\Release\Source\scripts\fs.py line 3: No module named shiboken # Please help! What is wrong ? I am looking forward to receiving your reply. Best Regards, Tri

Do u have installed PySide correctly? From your error message, Maya didn't found PySide, to be sure: 1. copy only these two folders "PySide" and "pusideuic", and "shiboken.pyd" in the RAR package to Maya py path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2013\Python\lib\site-packages 2.copy the two dll in the PySide folder to maya bin folder. then try agin.

OK After reinstalling all, the scripts seems to be executed and window opens. Though when I create a similar scene like the one you demo in video (a shooting cylinder, two polygon objects rotation and an invisible bullet) and set the following settings Objects-Shooting options (3 / 200 / 20/ 5/ 20 + Decals & Bullets accordingly) Other (setting the bullet reference to the bullet object created) When I click on shoot, I see no bullets being emitted in any way (that is under maya 2013 win7 64bit) Is there a missing step that should be executed as well OR there is a bug that needs to be fixed ?

After some testing I found what the issue is, so that I am writing for you to check. The emitter object needs to be freezed transformation before being used. I don't know wether this may be be automatically applied to the gun object before being used, so that the script works no matter what. Again this may not be desired in cases and user should do it manually if wanted before messing things up, but at that case, I guess an alert text should be provided to the user so that he know what went wrong

I think you should't freeze the object, because Shooting is alone the "-Z" axis of the gun as default, maybe I should provide some alert as you said, thank you for your message.
