A tool that can track your arcs while animating. Particularly helpful for character animators.
Is very fast and interactive.
It creates a sphere which is parent constrained to an object of your choice. The sphere is ghosted and coloured.
INSTALLATION: load the script into the Scipt Editor. select all the code in the script and drag it to your Custom Shelf using your middle or left mouse button. Choose MEL if asked. Right click the new icon and choose edit choose the shelf tab change Tooltip to: Arc Tracker change Icon Label to: ArcTracker click Save All Shelves
USAGE: Click the new button on the custom shelf Choose the object to track and then click the create button. For speed, click the randomize button to change the size and color of the next created tracker.
NOTE:
TIPS: Works best on animation control handles and joints. Sometimes the ghosting does weird things by displacing the ghosted image. This is a maya bug and the best way around it is to choose a different object to track.
