I love the idea and structure of your script. In my workflow I've tried testing it with a referenced (Xref) rig from an external file/scene. When I tried to save the mirrorTable I got an error that it couldn't find the bones

From a production standpoint I highly recommend you create the mirror table in the source scene that you're referencing, that's what I had in mind when I created the script. If you create the mirror table after a scene has been referenced, the table would be exclusive to that animation scene. However, if you do it in the source reference scene the mirror table will be available in all future scenes that you reference it to. Coming from that point of view I don't see this as an actual bug but rather how the script is designed to work. If you still need it for your kind of work flow I'd very much like to know more about how you actually work to get a grasp of the situation, as it is now it sounds a bit like you might have to do unnecessary work in the long run, I might have misunderstood you though. On additional note, make sure your namespaces are in the form of reference:object rather than reference_object. Not only will it break my script, and others, but other things in Maya will fail as well, default setting for namespaces should be reference:object. Thanks for taking interest in the script, it's nice to hear that people use it!
