This procedure duplicates selected faces (on a single object) into a new polymesh.
It effectively does the same thing as Maya's Duplicate Face procedure but it doesn't separate the shells on the original mesh. Also it doesn't create extra history & transform nodes.
Assign it to a hotkey or marking menu.
