this script turns off all unnecessary objects in your current view and turns off overscan on the camera in order to get a nice-looking playblast with accurate framing. everything except polygon and NURBS surfaces is turned off so your client doesn't complain about all those little icons floating all over your scene.

usage: put hfPreviewCam.mel in your scripts folder, then run hfPreviewCam to toggle between preview mode and regular mode for the selected view ("regular" mode is just whatever settings you were using before you switched to preview mode).

notes: it's best to turn preview mode off before saving the file or previewing another camera... otherwise maya may think that some elements are visible (often manipulators, selection highlighting, and the grid) when they actually aren't. if this happens, just turn those elements on and off using the "show" menu until they work again.
