About m2m

M2M is a maya based data communicating program. Mainly developed to communicate data from one maya to other maya across LAN or Internet. In most studios almost all computers are connected in LAN. Using your existing NETWORK m2m allows you to extend your production pipeline by interlinking all maya running inside your studio network. This provides you many new features and also let you create more flexible and powerful production pipeline.
m2m is TCP/IP Based NETWORK Communicator. Maya with new PYTHON builtin, extends the maya features more. m2m Creates a virtual link between your maya and remote maya. MEL and PYTHON commands can be shared among the two mayas.
For Example:
Ask your client (Some where across the LAN or INTERNET) to open a maya file and dolly/pan/zoom presp camera in his viewport and move object in the scene.
In the same time... keep the same file open in your maya system.
And you can see your view port rolls/pans/zooms as per your REMOTE Client moves his camera and object in your scene too moves n rotates according to it. Everything goes simultaneously and smoothly.
More over you can CHAT with in the maya just like you chat in OTHER INTERNET MESSENGER. You can also share text message that will be displayed directly on to the remote maya's viewport and get the remote person's attention.
You can send information to them in message box, You can ask questions and request answer(Will be in high priority), Send/Get network path loc, Send/Get file status .... anything you wish.
m2m Can also be used as maya remote monitoring tool.
For example:
You can get info about the person's loggin time, files he working, applications that are currently running, date/time he open/save/close files. MEMORY usage, SCENE memory, System Hardware Info, OS Info etc
I provide this utility with information on How it works.... This will be very helpful for you extending this tool and to customize this tool as per your production. You can also use my functions/procedures, this will useful for various scripting artist.
This tool is mainly planned to help Technical Directors, Rigging Artist, Production Supervisors, Pipeline Incharge, Network Admin, Scripting Artist but It can be used by all other peoples too.
So with the help of m2m Team Leader, Team mates, Artist, Technicians, Clients and many more ppls in production can come closer while working in maya.
