Feature Request

Use Native Config Windows

Status:pending

I realized starting from v2.1 NSUV uses its own window elements instead of Maya's standart ones for Unfold, Optimize, Layout, etc. I think this is not a good choice as it leads so much errors and stability problems and features will be obselete if the script wont be updated for a while.

I already reported my problems in error section. Yes it is pretty much identical for now, except help window and a few minor stuff. But if NSUV doesnt get updated more than 6 months, the product will be obselete pretty quickly. Because unfold, relax and packing which are core sections will be outdated. Then it will be so pity because most of scripts are useful even after several years without updating but one of the best scripts in here will be outdated because of ancient core sections.

Hello, What errors and stability problems are you experiencing after this change? If you get errors, please go into the Script Editor > History > and check the top 3 checkboxes there (this will make sure that the script editor writes out errors correctly). As for your feature request: The Unfold and Relax windows are pretty much identical to the default option windows. There are no missing features there (in fact, options windows like "UV Mapping: Cylindrical Projection" have more options than the native windows). The Layout options window in NSUV was designed to be more user-friendly as the default option window is very scattered. However I will consider this feature (maybe adding it as an option under the NSUV menu) if it's unstable for you. Sincerely, Martin
