we would love to have a possibility to change playblast options for generating preview playblasts for animations without need of altering the code in OP. (resolution, codec, quality, etc.)
It is easy to adjust but with next release it is hard to track all custom changes.
one of very handy things could be switching off certain types of geometries, spline selection handles, etc. automatically for playblast generation and turning it back on after it is done.
