The Material Palette is a tool designed to streamline the modelling work flow by reducing the need to use of the hyperShade for assigning established shaders to objects.
Each button on the palette supports 4 actions
Shift Click - select a object or a face and shift clicking inside a button create a shortcut to that material.
Click - select a object and a click the button to apply that shader .
Ctrl Click - select all objects with that shader applied to them
Alt Click - select the shader in the button swatch.
3 new quick select functions have also been added
ShadSel - expands a face selection to all adjoining shaders sharing the same shader
Angle60 - expands the face selection to adjoining faces within 60 degrees of the current face.
AxisSel - selects all adjoining faces facing XZY based on the first selected face.
Use Place the script in your scripts folder and start it with
picassoPalette
The number of shader swatches can now be adjusted though the use of a optionvar and defaults to 5.
