When modeling, grouping is a tool used often to manipulate pivots, duplicating along an axis and so on. You may end up with tons of groups and a lot of mess. This short & simple script will dissect the hierarchy and ungroup All the groups and sub-groups, along with deleting empty transform nodes. this cleans up the mess, causing all the objects to be in the base level.
Important Note: Save your scene before execution, as the script deletes the history on all the objects.
