This tool is really missing this feature. UV Checker Size tool has this: Select an object or face, choose 'pick checker', then select anotehr object and 'set checker size' to match the second object's pixel density to the first.
I second this feature request. I've read the tool description. If I understand correctly, this feature is still missing and is something many people would need for their workflow.
