What do you mean no render presets when you open the render window there's a preset manager there? Been available for since forever. Sure the old presets didn't manage all settings as there was a conflict of interest and 2 preset settings on top of each other so you actually always needed 2 menu digs. And yes some of the features were plain wierd at first glance. Anyway this ones ok, suitable for those of you who need flat presets. I personally can't store things flat, just plain too many combinations. -

I use Maya2008, I can't find userSetup.mel anywhere to source it...please help? Edit: Chris updated instruction on how to make your own userSetup.mel, now when I booted up Maya, the Preset function is setup ready to use. Highly recommended! -

Chris' script fixes a long glaring hole in Maya's Render Settings menus -- a reliable presets capability. This script simply works and has simplified my workflow immensely.
