I created the “Combine Separate Skinned Meshes” tool to help and to make faster the process of rig/skinning when, after made the rig/skin yet, you need to combine or separate some of those meshes together. My tool is simple to use, anyway watching the tutorial you can easily understand how it works. It works for sure in maya 2015 to 2017, but it would work also with previous version of the software. Also it should work with the orther OS. At the moment you cannot use this tool with skinned meshes that contain also other deformer nodes, like blend shapes or other, ‘cause you would lose them. Anyway there are ways to go around to this problem. Hope that this tool can be useful for you.
