This script will delete the nodes in your scene that are classified as "unknown".
these usually prevent you from saving your scene as another file type, and can cause strange errors / warnings at render time that are at best annoying to see.
copy paste into the python tab of your script editor, and send to shelf if desired.
if deletion of the nodes is not desired, the code can be modified by commenting/removing out the delete line(the last line) to just select the desired nodes instead.
NOTE: You will get a red error if no "unknown" nodes exist within your scene.
