Crash After Opening Script Editor

Statuspending

Maya 2016.5 Ex1 crashes with NSUV 2.1.3.
It occurs if I open script editor after NSUV.
Just opening NSUV as regular and then opening the Maya Script Editor as regular leads to crash.

I had opened another thread titled "Delete UVs fail".
Unfortunately, all problems I mentioned in there still continue.
I must repeat in here because you closed the ticked with fixed label.

I still have to use Nightshade UV Editor 2.0.10 as it seems the most stable version compared to newest releases.
Keep up great work, mate.

Thank you so much for the long answer. I updated 2016 ext2 sp2 and all problems including previous ones seems to be gone.

Hello Caner, The Delete UV's -problem has been corrected and should no longer be in NSUV. It was broken because I was using an older command for deleting UVs (NSUV 2.1.3 uses the newer command). I have tested this feature now in 2015.2, 2016, 2017 and Maya Preview Release 72 (2018 BETA). As for the crashing bug: I strongly suspect that this is an Autodesk bug related to the script editor. Here is my reasoning: -This bug appeared for the first time in your version - Maya 2016 Extension 1 - and was also present in Maya 2016 Extension 2. -The bug is not present in Maya 2017 and the PR 72, and neither in Maya 2015 (with or without extension). -The bug is not present when running the Charcoal Script Editor (by Zurbrigg) - only when running Maya's native script editor. Also: If you first run the script editor, and then NSUV - there will not be a crash. There is only a crash if you run NSUV first, and the script editor second. I am not sure why this is happening. Solutions: Upgrade to 2017 or downgrade to 2016 (without extension packs). You can also mail me at martin.dahlin at live.com and I can provide you with download links to 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 (maybe one of those will work for you).

I wold like to also confirm that I too am getting this same crash in Maya 2016 SP6, but not in Maya 2016.5 (Extension 2 SP1) . It crashes when opening the script editor after Nightshade has opened, as well as when trying to open a new scene when Nightshade is open.

Also,  switching to outliner/persp viewport causes a reproducible crash.
