Limb weights shift when stretched

Hey man. I love this auto rigger, it's fantastic. I'm experiencing a problem though. I am using the toon arms and when I set up all my weights so it's all nice and good with the arms at scale 1 everything is fine. But when I stretch the arms, the weighting seems to shift. I'm not sure what's actually going on under the hood but it seems that there are somehow double transforms happening to the skin geo. Basically where I weight the elbow to be at scale 1, is not where the elbow joint is when I scale it to 2. This wouldn't be HUGE, but then the weighting for the arm gets super wonky when it's scaled out like that.

I'm hoping this makes sense and you know a solution. Is there a node somewhere that could be affecting this? It even happens when I have the auto volume turned off. It's very frustrating because I got this auto rigger for the toon stretchy noodly arm stuff, but this makes it very useless if I can't retain control over my weights when the arms are stretched.
