Q/A

Treads seem to flip at certain points

Hi guys!

Tread maker is awesome! It does exaclty what I need for making my tanks, and its so easy to use!

Just encountered a minor issue though; when I make treads with 'teeth' that stick inwards towards the wheels the treads go around, some of the treads appear facing outwards rather than inwards.

As I move the treads the outward facing ones switch back to inward facing, but the ones following the previous treads end up facing outwards. It appears zones on the entire tread have this problem, switching to new treads as the treads move one way or the other.

Upon inspection, these problem treads rotate themselves by 180 for some reason :/

Just found the solution to my problem XD The treads which flipped the wrong way were being influenced by tiny outward curves in the NURBS curve I had the treads following. I fixed the issue by altering the position of the control vertexes of the NURBS circle, to eliminate the outward curves, thus causing all the treads to face inwards correctly :) The treas will always face inwards of the curve they are follwing.
