The icons in the shelf point to the authors file hierarchy, ie:
C:/Users/Wynand/Documents/maya/2013-x64/prefs/icons/...

Even after changing that I get "The shelf "SLapOnFREE" has items that cannot be read", but that might be my Maya-Version (2008).

Hi there, I haven't had that issue from anyone else before. And am unable to recreate it. Did you overwrite you prefs folder with the one I sent you? If that doesn't work, try and drag and drop the required script into maya, namely "wl_autorig.mel".
